Emergency appeal: our vets are there in a crisis

Every day, our Vets and Vet Nurses are working tirelessly to save lives like Trinny's. But we're a charity and we rely on donations to keep our services going and prevent pets like Trinny from suffering.

Right now, we’re facing an unprecedented situation. The coronavirus pandemic means our Pet Hospitals are only able to treat emergency cases and our charity shops have had to close their doors, limiting our ability to raise vital funds. But accidents and illness don't stop - our services are in huge demand and we urgently need extra supplies to care for poorly pets.

Every donation helps to perform life-saving care for a pet desperately in need. Please help us be there for more pets in need.

How your donations saved Trinny

Trinny, an 11 year old crossbreed, was viciously attacked whilst out walking with her owner. She suffered horrific wounds and was left bleeding, in shock and fighting for her life.

Trinny's owner rushed her to her local PDSA Pet Hospital, where our vets began urgent treatment to save her life. But she was very badly hurt. The wounds to her leg were so severe, she was at risk of having it amputated. After such a distressing ordeal, the vets were worried about her chances of survival.

Trinny needed round the clock care from PDSA nurses. They cleaned, dressed and re-dressed her wounds, hand-fed her and monitored her closely.

Thankfully, after a week of specialist care in our hospital, Trinny started to show signs of recovery and was able to go home. She needed to come back for extensive treatment from our vets and nurses every few days.

Trinny's owner has given all that they can afford, but with more and more pressure on our services we desperately need help from people like you. We don't think any pet should go without vet treatment and appreciate any help you can give. Please consider donating today. Thank you.

Thank you

Our vets were able to save Trinny's life, thanks to the support of people like you. With your help we can be there for more pets in their hour of need.
