Welcome to PDSA!
A big hello and warm welcome to PDSA. We’ve been working with Kerry and the boys for a few years now and would love to take the chance to tell you a bit about us and how you could get involved with what we do!
We know how inspiring Max and Kerry’s story is and really shows the bond between owners and pets. To us, a pet is not just a pet – they are part of the family. This is where we come in.
In a nutshell, we provide free and low-cost vet care to the thousands of families across the UK who need us. For so many people, their pet is their lifeline just like Max was for Kerry, and sometimes our pets are our only companion. No pet should suffer because their owners are struggling financially and no owner should have to give up their best friend for this either.
Without us, the 470,000 pets we treated last year would have been left to suffer, separated from their families or even lost their lives.
Kerry and the boys have played a huge part in helping us care for poorly pets and we couldn’t be more grateful, or more proud, to have such a wonderful bunch raising awareness and much needed funds for us. We'd love it if some more of Kerry and Max's friends and fans came on board and joined Team PDSA in any way you can.

Dogs, medals and ambassadors
In 2018, we awarded Max and Paddy a PDSA Commendation at a special presentation in Keswick. This is just one of the honours we give as part of our animal awards programme and celebrates the incredible devotion and love that animals bring to our lives.
The dogs’ adventures and Kerry sharing their amazing story helped so many more people as a kind of ‘virtual therapy’, which is why they were given the award to recognise the huge healing impact they’ve had.
Since then, Kerry and they boys have helped some of the causes close to their hearts - PDSA being one of them. Like us, Kerry knows how important pets are in our lives. When you're in a difficult financial situation, the thought of having to give up your friend when you need them most is unbearable.
Kerry and the boys have raised thousands to help poorly pets across the UK and keep families together, but sadly there are always more and more pets who still need our help.
PDSA Petsurance and welcoming Harry
When cheeky pup Harry joined the family, we were delighted to welcome him to Team PDSA! Harry is currently ambassador for PDSA Petsurance, helping us to spread the word about the importance of insuring our pets while helping other pets in need. You can be more Harry and get an exclusive discount on your PDSA Petsurance quote online!
Pets are our family and we’d do anything for them. We’re so grateful to have amazing people like Kerry fundraising and raising awareness, but we always need more help! As a charity, we rely 100% on the generosity of members of the public to keep helping people. Take a look at some of the stories from around PDSA:
