Coronavirus updates:
Due to the impact of the coronavirus, volunteering in our Pet Hospitals, offices and events remains closed at this time. We do have volunteering opportunities in our shops that have re-opened. Please keep checking our volunteer vacancy finder for the latest updates.
Volunteer with our fundraising team
We have fundraising teams across the country and our fundraising volunteers are vital to helping PDSA. These are usually home-based roles so you can take part wherever you are.
Our fundraising volunteers help raise vital funds for PDSA. We have teams in many locations, so if you are interested in volunteering with our fundraising teams get in touch with us.
Our fundraising groups organise and attend a variety of events to raise money for PDSA and as a volunteer fundraiser you’ll be getting stuck in! You could be involved in dog shows, fetes, bake sales, sponsored walks – if you love meeting new people, these are the ideal volunteering opportunities for you!
What fundraising volunteer roles are available?
We have two roles you could be in as a fundraising volunteer. You’ll need to be able to regularly commit to your role, but hours are flexible to suit you. We provide all our fundraising volunteers with some training so you won’t be expected to know everything before you’ve even applied!
Fundraising Organiser
As a Fundraising Organiser, you'll be responsible for organising charity events in your local community. You’ll meet regularly with fundraising group members (so you won’t be without the support of other volunteers on this!) and you’ll work together to plan events and come up with new ideas.
You’ll also help to recruit new group members to join you and work with our Head Office team to coordinate a diary of events throughout the year. You’ll get plenty of experience in promoting your events, too! If this sounds like the role for you, see if we have a vacancy.
Fundraising Group Member
As a Fundraising Group Member, you will help support the Fundraising Organiser in the setting up and running of local events. You’ll need to attend group meetings and assist your group in coming up with new fundraising ideas. You’ll also get to go along to the events and provide support, so you’ll get lots of opportunities to go out into your local community.
You’ll play an important role within your team, so a positive attitude and good organisational skills are a must. Although you’ll be working a lot with the other fundraising volunteers, you also need to be self-motivated. If this sounds like the role for you, check to see vacancies near you.
