Community Volunteer - Education

Could you volunteer and support our Education Programme?

PDSA is a charity with 48 pet hospitals that supports pets and people in need. As a community volunteer you would help raise awareness of PDSA and our education programme by giving digital talks, keeping up to date with our promotions and campaigns, whilst engaging with individuals, schools and local groups.

It’s a great opportunity to grow our supporters and volunteering numbers by talking to people in local communities about your role, encouraging stock donations to our local PDSA shops or supplies to our pet hospitals so we can continue to help more pets of people in need.

What skills do I need?

  • Will you go the extra mile to help grow our local networks?
  • Do you enjoy building relationships with people of all ages?
  • Do you have good communication skills and able to engage with a variety of people digitally or in person?
  • Are you a confident public speaker or prepared to learn?
  • Can you use social media effectively?

We can offer you the chance to:

  • Make use of your communication and networking skills
  • Inspire and inform school children about the work of PDSA
  • Build relationships and become more connected in your local community
  • Meet new people and make new friends.
  • Flexible hours that suit you
  • Enhance your CV and your life experience
  • Digital engagement via Teams, Zoom or Google Meet

We’re looking for people who are:

  • Passionate about PDSA and the work we do
  • Have prior knowledge or are interested in Veterinary practices
  • Organised & Motivated
  • Friendly & engaging
  • Enjoy working independently as well as part of a team and with the public.
  • Want to develop networking skills.
  • At least 18 years old.

We provide training, so you don’t need experience – and we reimburse travel expenses so you won’t be out of pocket.

We’re looking for people who are 18 years of age or over that enjoy working as part of a team and making a difference.
