Terms and conditions of the Free Will Offer.
- You need to be aged 50 or over to use the Free Will Offer.
- PDSA has agreed with your solicitor to pay a set fee to write a simple Will. You must pay your solicitor any costs that exceed this amount. Please confirm with your solicitor that your personal circumstances are best suited to a simple Will before having your Will written.
- A simple Will includes:
- Appointing up to four executors to carry out the provision of the Will.
- Clauses appointing a guardian for any children under 18.
- Up to ten individual monetary gifts.
- Up to ten individual specific items (possessions) as gifts.
- Clauses listing the intended beneficiaries of the remaining estate.
- Provisions for simple funeral wishes.
- The standard simple Will does not include:
- Tax planning and advice.
- Protective property trusts.
- Rights of occupation.
- Life interest, discretionary or other complex trusts.
- Disabled persons trust.
- Your solicitor will write your Will, not PDSA. We comply with the solicitors’ Introductions and Referral Code published by the Law Society and any solicitor whom we may refer you is an independent professional from whom you will receive impartial and confidential advice.
- It is not necessary to include a gift in your Will for PDSA to take up the Free Will Offer.
- Your solicitor must provide PDSA with your name, address, date of birth and whether or not you choose to include a gift in your Will for PDSA.
- PDSA reserves the right to amend or withdraw the terms and conditions of this offer at any time.
- The Free Will Offer is subject to a limited availability.
