Remembering little Hermione

I will never forget my darling little fur baby, Hermione. She came into our lives only a year ago, when we rescued her after she had been abandoned in a bush at a few weeks old. After coming to live with us Hermione became gravely ill as she caught cat flu and we almost lost her. The spirit and fight that little girl had was remarkable. After being a very poorly baby, she rarely left my side and we had a special, extremely close bond. As I work from home, we were always together. She was the most vocal cat we've ever had and we've become so used to hearing her little chattery noises. It seems so quiet without her now. Hermione used to wake us up crying at the bedroom door, not for food as she didn't have a big appetite, it was for cuddles and love. She would snuggle up to me on the fleece blanket and purrrr with contentment. She just wanted to be close to her mamma. I'll never be able to put into words how much I loved that little cat. I wanted to grow old together. She gave us so much in the short time she was in our lives. I just hope that one day we're reunited again my little baba.

Hermione was sadly taken far too soon in a tragic accident when she was hit by a car at the end of our lane. Thankfully, due to having Hermione micochipped and a thoughtful person who found her handing her into a veterinary surgery, within an hour of us last seeing her we'd been told what had happened.
